Ziółkowski’s ceramics continue the spiritual dialogue from his paintings, blurring the line between divine abstractions and clear human anatomy. He borrows figures and symbols from his paintings and translates them to a three-dimensional medium. The artists interest for sculpting can already being sees within previous works where Ziółkowski attached painted stones or imprinted hands onto the canvas. The ceramic works give the artist the ability to expand paint in 360 degrees, extending his storytelling in the works. Although his sculptures are closely linked to his paintings, they have an independent position through transforming into fully realized talismans.
